Interested in an ergonomic office chair that will give workers support and still be affordable? Look no further than the Herman Miller Aeron chair. There’s more to this comfortable piece of furniture than meets the eye: It’s designed to be good for the spine, stylish and almost 100 percent green. We offer the Aeron chair at Quality Office Liquidations for $499, but right now our Twitter followers have a chance to snag one on us!

The official Herman Miller website lists some of the unique bits of technology and design that make the Aeron worth owning. With a round back, curving sides and ease of movement, the chair is structured to be state-of-the-art and functional.

One of its most noticeable features is the lack of cushions. Instead of flat, lumpy pillows that wear down over time, the Aeron uses something called a Pellicle, a woven material that can withstand higher amounts of pressure. It also works around the body shape, just like classic memory padding.

It all comes back to the fluid look and feel of the chair, which co-creator Bill Stumpf says was meant to mimic the body.

“The human form has no straight lines; it is biomorphic,” he says on the Miller site. “We designed the chair to be, above all, biomorphic, or curvilinear, as a metaphor of human form in the visual as well as the tactile sense. There is not one straight line to be found on an Aeron chair.”
